Review: The Darkest Minds

Rating- 4.5/5 stars

I first borrowed this book from the library around 2 years ago, I read the first few chapters then stopped. Now since the trilogy is so loved I decided to buy the entire trilogy! (and the covers are too pretty to resist)

Review (with spoilers):
The book started off slow, but the writing was beautiful, and the questions I had kept me reading. The plot overall was good and I really liked the characters we met. The world building was great too.

I really want to know more about Sam and her story, hopefully she appears in the next books. I THINK WE ALL WANT TO CRY AND GIVE CHUBS & ZU A HUG. I love how loyal Chubs is, he's such a strong person and I love how he has so much hope, how he treats Zu like a sister and knows what's right. Zu is my favorite character so far, and it absolutely killed me when she left..I love her energy and kindness. But most of all, her bravery.

Liam is a true leader. I don't have much to say about him except HE HAS TO REMEMBER RUBY IN THE NEXT BOOK AND HE CAN'T DIE BECAUSE I WILL BE VERY ANGRY IF HE DOES.

Clancy..I knew right away he was going to turn out bad, especially when Ruby started to hear a voice in her head. I was really hoping he'd actually be a good person. There's definitely more to his story, and I can't to find out more about him.

And last but not least..Ruby. When we first met her, she was a scared girl who didn't know how to control her powers. By the end of the book, her powers still aren't as powerful as Clancy's, but I know that's going to change. I personally think erasing Liam's memories of her at the end was the wrong thing to do, but I trust Ruby and everything will hopefully come together in the next book. I am also EXTREMELY EXCITED to hopefully see her kick ass in the next books.

The ending killed me..All in all, the writing is beautiful, dark & keeps us wanting more! Review for Never Fade will be up soon!
